She Devil

Female serial killers are still deemed to be the rarest breed of criminal, accounting for less than 10% of all solved murders in any given year. Perhaps it is precisely because of this rarity that when we talk about serial killers it is mostly limited to Ted Bundy, Jack the Ripper, Ed Gein, among others.
This time let me share with you the story of Belle Gunness who was considered to be the first female serial killer. Belle Gunness was one of America’s most productive female serial killers. Standing 6 feett tall and weighing in at over 200 lbs, she was an imposing and powerful woman of Norwegian descent. She is also known as Lady Bluebeard and was labeled as a Black Widow (because she is a woman who kill men in particular.) Born in the mid 1800s, Belle Sorenson Gunness is indeed one of the most prolific female serial killers the United Sates has known. It is believed she is responsible for killing over twenty people over the course of several decades. Her victims included two husbands, several suitors, and two if not all of her children. The motivation for her murders was the collection of life insurance benefits.
I adore strong, independent, and influential women. I adore Gloria Arroyo. I was raised to be strong and independent, and I have always looked up to the women (and men) in this world who dare to make a stand, speak up and be heard, and ultimately make a difference, no matter how small it may be. It coukld have been different if she sought ways to have fun. Too bad that she did not had the luxury of enjoying internet casino. It could have been a good way for her to vent out her feelings.
But what about the evil women of this world? Women who have used their strength and power not to help but to harm?
This is what you call Femme Fatale!
Yes! And men should be a lot careful when they encounter these type of women.
di natin alam kung ano dahilan nya pero ano pa man yon e maling mali pa rin ang lahat ng yon…
That’s how intricate human behavior is. After all, we can never expect a for well-ordered behavior. Rarely could we attain harmony between our intentions, actions, and their outcomes.
Human brain is indeed the most puzzling thing god created.
Yes Amit, the brain is such a puzzling structure. However, the issue about serial killers is not merely biological. One popular theory suggests that many murderers are the product of our violent society. Our culture tends to approve of violence and find it acceptable, even preferable, in many circumstances.
I am also inspired by powerful, strong women. But to read that she killed her children is shocking to me.. That is terrible.
you adore Gloria Arroyo? As in the president of the Philippines? Are you for real? Well, of course, everyone is entitled to his/her opinion, but couldn’t you choose a less corrupt/less power hungry female to look up to?
@Luli: I was shocked and intrigued at the same time. And that is the very reason why I chose to post about Belle Gunness.
@k.v.b.: Yes, I adore our current president. Well, “adore” could have been an exaggeration as it an intense word. But still, I admire Arroyo for leading our nations in spite of politicl bickerings that she meets.
@Amit
Are you sure it was God who created the human brain?
I see very little image and likeness between the two. The fleshy brain has risen out of the ground and exhibits very few Heavenly qualities; it just doesn’t look like “a chip off of the old block”; it’s pretty aggressive, pretty selfish; Love is scarce though passion is plenty. It has managed to undermine its own existence and endanger Nature, divide brothers and check the Truth. I cannot see the hand of God in the picture.
It can even turn a woman into a serial killer! If that is the work of God, what – on earth – was He thinking of?

Take a look at
“Arsenic and old lace” from 1944
A comedy… of old aunties poisoning a good number of nice gentle men.
Black widows are as popular as Frankenstein.

I have to watch that one. I just hope I could still scout a copy of that flick.
