@plaridel: I disagree that hyphens are becoming obosolete. There are words that should still be hyphenated like T-shirt, A-bomb, and we were even taught in school that all -in-laws are hyphenated: sister-in-law, father-in-law, etc. In reference to email/e-mail being hyphenated or not, is more than just about hyphen, though I favor the unhyphenated form.

hypens are becoming obsolete. when all the dust has settled, email will become the standard.
