Right By Me
These past few days, I’ve been watching a couple gay-themed movies. I don’t happen to see this kind of movie often mostly beause 1) they’re sad; 2) it’s really bad acting, and 3) they’re typically very difficult to find. However, many times the plots highlight not only the struggle of being gay, but also portrays my secret fantasies. I love those films which are both interesting… and arousing.
I came across with Thailand-released Right By Me. Just before I see this film, I had high hopes that this is going to be a saucy film but it turned out to be predictable. Here’s the plot: A man named Tat is shocked when his secret crush turns up at a support group for guys who have difficulty in coming out. It is a gay-themed drama that follows three friends as they attempt to deal with the homophobia that surrounds them in their native Thailand.
It is not as glamourous  and depressing as Bangkok Love Story, just a simple movie about guys coming out and falling in love in a rather hostile environment. It’s not an eye candy either. Well, I don’t find Asian men to be eye candies, that’s why.
I am hunting for that next gay-themed movie to watch. I hope I could grab a nice one… something sexy, saucy, and spicy.
